A few time ago, Stick to Your Guns decided to sign with Pure Noise Records. As a "seal" and celebration of that deal, the band is going to release at September 23 a brand new EP with five tracks, which we listened to and present to you.
The EP is titled Better Ash than Dust, a title that it "borrows" from the first and homonymous track of the EP, which gets us in the hardcore punk mood for good, with its screaming and metalcore background.
In Universal Language, one of the singles that were released, the band with its own "violence" talks about -who can object to that- a great truth: "violence is the only language this world comprehends".
In No Tolerance, such as in NeverEnding Story, the influences of the band are pretty clear, the punk ones a bit more at the first, the metal ones a bit more at the second, a track that reminded us the... good old days of metalcore, asking with its lyrics something simple(?): "Just give a fuck about something".
Last but not least, comes The Suspend, somehow slower, but with incredible nerve and energy been hidden inside it, "stolen" from the previous tracks to finish you before it necessitates you to listen to the record from the beggining again.
The Better Ash than Dust EP is being released in 2 days (23/9) and its already in our "cart". You know, for the days you want to furiously break something and you need the proper soundtrack. You can preorder the cd or vinyl here, or in digital form via iTunes.
